Volunteers are an important part a successful Music & Arts Festival. Suwannee Ticket Exchange Program (STEP) is now accepting volunteers for Blackwater 2011. There are a very limited number of volunteer spots available, so please do not get discouraged if you are not accepted as a Volunteer for this Festival.
General Information:
- All Volunteers must create an account and completely fill out an Application
- Accepted Volunteers will be required to work 15 hours during the festival event. These work hours MUST BE fulfilled AND signed off by the Department Head of the area in which the volunteer has been assigned. A deposit of $150.00 is required and can be made using PayPal. The Volunteer deposit shall be refunded to volunteer within 30 days through PayPal. If completion of the assigned shifts is not fulfilled AND verified by the Department Head; the deposit will be considered payment in full on the purchase of the festival admission and will not be refunded for any reason.
- Volunteers must work a minimum of 15 hours, if you cannot commit, then do not apply
- Volunteers who complete their hours will receive a discounted Festival T Shirt
Volunteer Requirements:
- You must be 18 years or older to apply to Volunteer
- Must have a positive, hard-working mentality
- Must have appropriate dress/shoes for the job you are assigned
- Must be on time for every assigned shift (if not a little early)
Food Drive
Blackwater Music Festival and Conscious Alliance are happy to announce they will be hosting an 'Art That Feeds' Food Drive at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida on September 22-24, 2011. All patrons that donate 10 non-perishable food items will receive a FREE Blackwater Music Festival poster created by a very special artist.
Food donations will be collected at the Conscious Alliance 'Art That Feeds' Gallery, which will be depicted on the Blackwater Festival guide and map. All food donations will benefit the Food Bank of Suwannee Valley in Lake City, FL.
Conscious Alliance always encourages food donations to be low-sodium and health oriented products. ORGANIC food donations are especially encouraged. RAMEN NOODLES will NOT be accepted for the free poster.
